Syos orders are shipped with standard or express shipping (the option is chosen on checkout). For every order containing one or several mouthpieces, there is an additional 3 to 5 days production time. The shipping time depends on the shipping method and on the shipping country (for the US, express is 2 days and standard is 10).

Product exchanges and refunds are available during 30 days after the reception of the order. To request a product return, get your order ID and visit our return portal. Please note that saxophone and clarinet reeds are non exchangeable and non refundable.

Syos mouthpieces come with a two-year warranty which covers all manufacturing defects not attributable to the use of the mouthpiece by the buyer. Contact customer service for any questions.

The meeting between Pauline, PhD in acoustics, and Maxime, PhD in auditory perception, started the creation and development of a new and original way of crafting instruments.

Young and Old

I am young as a player if you count up the hours. I’m old though- 66- and I’ve had a flute nearby since I was a 17. Around 30, I got my first sax. One or another of those has been close to hand too. But I’m a terrible practicer and I play along with records. It adds up after awhile though- you don’t put in that many hours playing without becoming a very good listener. I had an Otto Link to start my soprano adventure. It was okay. That was the problem. I kept seeing ravines about SYOS so I began asking them which one to get. When I said that what I was after was “character”, Spark was their immediate reply. I know that as my capabilities grow, this mouthpiece will grow with me. It has that”core” that emerges as I warm up. (Long tones, long tones, long tones!). One teeny nitpick- these 3D printed products have a texture to them and I understand it would be too expensive to polish them smooth. I was concerned initially that the reed wouldn’t seal well on the table. It hasn’t been a problem at all. I’m
very happy. I can tell I’m happy because I’ve stopped shopping for soprano mouthpieces!

I really like the projection with the centered sound and great intonation……it’s the trifecta!

Bright sound. Easy to handle. Plays well low notes to altissimo.
