Bob Esterle

My Syos Custom alto saxophone mouthpiece gives me the sound and response that I couldn’t find in other mouthpieces. It is extremely versatile and I can rely on it in any musical situation from small clubs to large concert performances.

Biography

Bob Esterle plays Saxophones, Flute, Clarinet, and EWI. He has performed in a wide variety of musical groups from symphony orchestras to Jazz big bands throughout the Midwest.

He has performed with such popular artists as Bob James, Bobby Caldwell, Olivia Newton-John, Sandy Duncan, Ray Charles, The Four Tops, The Temptations, Frankie Avalon, Martha Reeves, The Platters, The Fifth Dimension, The Four Lads, Rich Little, Joan Rivers, Guy Lombardo, The Rat Pack and Dean Lives (from Las Vegas), Michael Cavanaugh (from the Broadway Musical “Movin’ Out”), Hal Linden and Red Skelton. He has also performed for Presidents George W. Bush and Bill Clinton.

Recording credits include Michael Egleton (Smooth Jazz Artist), Bambo Kino (Fusion Bassist), John Blangero-Sun King Rising/Delta Tales Project, Walter Williams (Lead vocalist of the O’Jays), Italian Bassist Stefano Capomagi, The Dave Banks Big Band, Frederick Davis, Tim Hunt, The Reverend Paul T. Kraker, Alan Licht, Wayne Conte and the Ignitions, The Deacons, Abe Lamarca, Gaetano Letizia’s Underground Blues Band and Jazz Quartet, Derek Gelispie, jingles for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank, the Summit Toy Company, the Cleveland Indians, the Prudential Insurance Company, and various local radio stations.

Locally Bob plays with Esto Jazz, the Dave Banks Big Band, the Orchestra from the Cleveland Music Group, Kevin DiSimone, Dave Marchione, Billy Joe Wiseman, vocalist Shannon Eller, the Cleveland Horns, Gaetano Letizia, Stew Freedman, and Yosef Greenberger.

He holds a Bachelors Degree in Music from Bowling Green State University and a Masters Degree in Music from the University of Akron. In addition to performing, he is currently teaching music in the Plain Local Schools in Canton, Ohio.
