Emma Johnson - Syos

Emma Johnson

I'm not one to mess around with my set-up, but I couldn't be happier since getting my SYOS mouthpiece and can't believe the difference it's made to my sound. This mouthpiece has meant I've been able to keep the warm, dark elements of my tone but gain loads more projection and presence, which is ideal for my work as a bandleader and soloist. It's super comfortable to play and works well in all of the settings I use it in, from blending with a section to holding it's own alongside a loud band. Amazing!

Emma Johnson is a saxophonist and composer based in Leeds, UK. She is in demand as a freelance musician, performing with a wide variety of bands including her contemporary jazz group 'Emma Johnson's Gravy Boat', who are appearing at many notable jazz festivals this year.
